“The Lord God is my strength; and He has made my feet like hinds’ feet, and makes me walk on my high places” (Hab. 3:19).

Purpose and Aim of the Theme

Our theme for 2024 recalls a great old hymn of praise, where we find the words, “Lord plant my feet on higher ground.” As Paul wrote to the Philippians, we are pressing on toward our final heavenly goal. A goal like that calls us to strive to attain new heights of faith, love, discipleship, and service to our God. Each step we take in our walk—our journey of faith—ought to be taken with a view to spiritual growth. Let’s focus our minds on the importance of growing in the Lord.
